$6.4 million for Mansfield Station Precinct - Media Release

17 January 2025

The Albanese Government is investing an additional $6.4 million to the Station Precinct Masterplan in Mansfield through the regional Precincts and Partnerships Program.

This is in addition to the $7.7 million which was provided last year and takes the Albanese Government’s total investment in this project to $14.1 million.

This new investment will include upgrades to the visitor facility, refurbishment of the Goods shed and deck, relocation of railway structures, and rehabilitation of the Mullum Wetlands.

This commitment follows the announcement of $25.3 million in support for other Victorian projects under the program on 16 May and 31 October 2024.

These projects demonstrate the Government's commitment to listening to local voices and delivering projects that are central to the productivity of our regions.

The $400 million regional Precincts and Partnerships Program provides funding for the design and delivery of precincts that meet community priorities.

The program is providing investment to transform and unify regional, rural and remote places and grow their economies.

More applications are under assessment through the independent expert panel and the program remains open to applications while funding remains available. For more information on the program visit infrastructure.gov.au/regional.
